Tanis Engine Preheat System on an Eagle 407HP

Did you get a chance to see our Tanis Engine Preheat system installed on the Eagle 407HP?

The Bell 407 is a four-blade, single-engine, civil utility helicopter; a derivative of the Bell 206L-4 LongRanger. The 407 uses the four-blade, soft-in-plane design rotor with composite hub developed for the United States Army’s OH-58D Kiowa Warrior instead of the two-blade, semi-rigid, teetering, rotor of the 206L-4. The Bell 407 is frequently used for corporate and offshore transport, law enforcement, electronic news gathering and movie making. The Bell 417 was a variant of the Bell 407 based on the Bell ARH-70.

This Eagle 407HP is powered by Honeywell, and has our famous Tanis Aircraft Engine Preheat System installed for show visitors to see up-close and personal.

We enjoyed meeting with people in our booth at the Heli-Expo, answering questions and discussing aircraft engine preheaters and winter aircraft maintenance options for various applications. We were asked if we could put a preheat system on cameras for a news helicopter. Answer? Of course! Tanis preheat systems are very versatile and our team is very resourceful.

If we didn’t get a chance to see you at Heli-Expo, give us a call to talk to our smart engineers about your challenges. We’d love to think through a solution with you!
